A nice longer fic series that keeps both characters in character! Complex and masculine, with plenty of story to go with the relationship, and has a sequel in progress! ;D

Health Insurers Caught Paying Facebook Gamers Virtual Currency To Oppose Reform Bill
Health insurance industry trade groups opposed to President Obama's health care reform bill are paying Facebook users fake money -- called "virtual currency" -- to send letters to Congress protesting the bill.
Here's how it's happening:
Facebook users play a social game, like "FarmVille" or "Friends For Sale." They get addicted to it. Eager to accelerate their progress inside the game, the gamers buy "virtual goods" such as a machine gun for "Mafia Wars." But these gamers don't buy these virtual goods with real money. They use virtual currency.
* By accepting offers from third-parties -- usually companies like online movie rentals service Netflix -- who agree to give the gamer virtual currency so long as that gamer agrees to try a product or service. This is done through an "offers" provider -- a middleman that brings the companies like Netflix, the Facebook gamemakers, and the Facebook gamemaker's users together.
It's this third method that an anti-reform group called "Get Health Reform Right" is using to pay gamers virtual currency for their support.
Instead of asking the gamers to try a product the way Netflix would, "Get Health Reform Right" requires gamers to take a survey, which, upon completion, automatically sends the following email to their Congressional Rep:I am concerned a new government plan could cause me to lose theemployer coverage I have today. More government bureaucracy will onlycreate more problems, not solve the ones we have."

Merry Christmas serenade from Gackt and You
(Gackt often tells the story of how one Xmas Eve - a romantic time for Japanese lovers - his date stood him up, and he called You-chan, who left his own girlfriend to cheer him up! Now that's friendship!)

Uganda seeking to make homosexuality a capitol offense
As a gay man in Uganda, Frank Mugisha is used to the taunts, the slurs and the daily harassment of neighbors and friends.
Butif a new bill proposed in the east African country becomes law, Mugishacould be put away for life, or worse, put to death for having sex withanother man.
"Right now, you can't go to places that arecrowded, because the mob can attack us or even burn us. We can't walkalone. We are ostracized by relatives. But if this bill passes, it willbecome impossible for me to live here at all. And that part hurts themost," Mugisha said.
The Anti-Homosexuality Bill featuresseveral provisions that human rights groups say would spur a witch huntof homosexuals in the country:
• Gays and lesbians convicted of having gay sex would be sentenced, at minimum, to life in prison
• People who test positive for HIV may be executed
• Homosexuals who have sex with a minor, or engage in homosexual sex more than once, may also receive the death penalty
• The bill forbids the "promotion of homosexuality," which in effect bans organizations working in HIV and AIDS prevention
• Anyone who knows of homosexual activity taking place but does not report it would risk up to three years in prison
